Introducing, Le Claire Photography Original Wall Art

Branching Out; It’s Been An Unexpected Journey.

I have a background in shooting interiors...my first career (out of college) in television production, interior photography/videography fell into my scope of work. And I admit, I missed it a little once migrating to this, my passion and second career; portrait photography.

I live for capturing expressions and emotion in my photos so naturally when I opened Le Claire Photography in 2011, people as subject matter were a non-negotiable for me. And for this reason, I continuously shied away from landscape photography. Don’t get me wrong, while vacationing I photographed the city of Paris like it was my job, but otherwise, landscape photography didn’t interest me much.

But it’s funny how life works….

I recently linked up with some talented interior designers. They needed to build and maintain their visual portfolios and the projects allowed me to sharpen my old interior shooting skills while supplementing my portrait work during the “slow season”. I found that ultimately, it also re-ignited my passion for shooting the beauty that is interior design.

That had me thinking, many of these beautiful living spaces are adorned with breathtaking landscape art. What if I could further branch out and capture and create art that could be utilized in the interior design space?

I am just shy of 12 years into my professional photography journey and always looking to evolve and expand my business. I have recently come to find I truly do enjoy MANY forms of photography, not just portrait alone. And I have come to find it IS possible to evoke emotion through other forms of photography. Who knew?

Let’s give this a whirl…

I hope you enjoy, Le Claire Photography Originals.
